Apartment Review for Yorktown Colony Apartments - Dayton, OH

I have lived at Yorktown Colony for almost a year now. In the time I have lived there I have battled an extremely noisy neighbor - blasting loud music - he since moved, which is good as nothing was ever really done by the office against him even though it was a clear lease violation. Also the quality of service I have received from the office staff has gone downhill. In the past when I called with a maintance service request or inquiry, everyone was extremely helpful and good natured. Now, often I encounter abruptness and in the case of one office staff member really unwillingness to help. She either refers me to someone else making me wait or has no information for me at all - and does not even seem willing to try to find out - this is important information for me as a tenant. The last bit that goes against Yorktown's management in my opinion is that they are having the windows replaced - that is good. However, I received a notice on my door from the window company that they are being replaced in my building this week. I had to remove all furniture from around the windows and curtains - blinding me at night the past couple of nights from the parking lot lights and keep my pet in the tiny bathroom during the day for his protection. Yet, they never have come. This is not fair to me or most especially my pet. I called the office and they could give me no information whatsoever on schedules - I cannot understand a management company contracting a business on their property and having no knowledge of what they are doing and how it effects their tentants!? Especially in the light their could be a question of liablity. I think it is just bad management.
