Apartment Review for Orchard Glen - Dayton, OH

The units are rundown and good luck getting them to fix anything. I wrote several letters expressing everything that was wrong with my unit (which included a broken window, a stove range that didn't work, electrical outlets that didn't work). I had a knife hole in my front door and a punch hole through my utility room door on top of countless cigarette burns on the floors, counters, sinks and even the bathtub and smoke stains on the walls and ceilings. Don't expect to move into a clean apartment, either, I spent a week cleaning grime from everywhere in addition to crusted old food on the kitchen cabinets and the wall by the stove. Its right behind a bar so you can constantly hear bar fights and bottles being broken. My neighbors sold drugs so I constantly had people walking back in forth in front of my windows at all hours of the day and night. The walls are thin so I listened to them fight constantly and their apartment even got broken into on one occasion. Several cars were broken into while I lived there, as well. The outside is very poorly maintained. I had a large hole on the side of my front stoop that housed family of possums. There is very limited parking so count on parking across the street from your apartment because there is no assigned parking and people party constantly in there. If you'd like to live in a rundown, overpriced apartment that is expensive to heat and cool with trashy neighbors that bring around trashier people, this is for you. Otherwise, stay clear of this place and The Willows. Same slummy owner.
