DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!
Review Date: 11/27/2008 Reviewer: Anonymous
I was excited about moving in at first...until I actually saw my apartment. I was shown the managers, I belive. Lets just say its much nicer than what I was given! The carpet was disgusting. The kitchen counters are a nasty seafoam green. The bottom of the cabinet under the sink is completely rotted out. There are roaches everywhere. I have heard of more than a handful of people having that issue. Maintenance is a joke. You have to keep calling to get someone out there. When someone would finally come out, rarely was the issue fixed the first time. One time they came to fix the toilet...well, actually it was the second time because it wasnt done right the first time. Anyway. When I arrived home and went into the bathroom, there were multiple things broken with a note that said, "Sorry." No compensation for the broken items or anything. When I ran my dishwasher, it would back up into the kitchen sink. When I would use my washer, it backed up into the bathroom sink. The units are ooooold. All of my screens were ripped. I was told they were all being replaced...new windows, too. Nope, never happened. I would often have to park in a different part of the complex due to inadequate parking space. You have to walk a mile to take your trash out. Closet doors fall off regularly. Probably the most screwed up thing is that they require a 35 day notice prior to moving out so that they can still get an extra months rent out of you. Make sure you give exactly 35 days until the end of the next month because if you move out in the middle of the month, your rent IS NOT PRO-RATED! I have never heard of such BS. The office staff is not the friendliest in the world. The people who live there are very rude. They do nothing about repetitive complaints even when the law gets called out there. I never felt safe there. I had my tires slashed more than once and with a constant flow of highly drunk and high people in and out of my building, it just never gave me warm fuzzies. It just generally was not an enjoyable living experience for my first apartment. I am so glad I am out of there. I would NOT recommend these apartments to anyone. I was so glad when I finally got out of there...even though I did get screwed because I was only there half of the last month...but still had to pay a full months rent. CROOKS. OH, PS: when they went under new management, the rates dropped $35 a month, but anyone there before that was forced to pay the higher amount. I HATE COUNTRYSIDE ACRES. DONT LIVE THERE! |
