Apartment Review for Chateaux L'aiglon Apartments - Dayton, OH

I lived at Chateaux L'Aiglon from 2005 to 2006 and enjoyed living here. I was immediately drawn to the complex due to its quaint appearance and its proximity to the lovely shops of downtown Oakwood. Though the apartments are located in Kettering, the Oakwood shops are in walking distance from the apartment. The complex is also accessible by bus line. I was a young girl living alone and never felt unsafe during my stay here. Parking was always available, and carports were offered for an additional charge. The exterior of the complex was well-maintained and nicely landscaped, though the building is older and did show some wear and tear. Rita, the complex manager, made me feel at home as soon as I moved in. She makes the effort to get to know all her residents, and plans parties for the residents in the summer. The maintenance was always excellent, timely, and friendly. This was a good thing, because I did experience a fair amount of need for apartment maintenance due to the building being older. There were some issues with leaking, and heat and air conditioning, but they were always fixed immediately and succesfully- so I did feel well-taken care of. The noise level was quiet overall, and I was never bothered by loud parties. However, there were a fair amount of children living in the complex that you could hear playing outside and at the pool- so the complex is a good place for kids. Overall, Chateaux L'Aiglon was a nice place to live for anyone interested in a safe, quaint neighborhood on the border of Kettering and Oakwood. Happy apartment hunting!
